Mildred (Mickey) Croft Watson

Mildred (Mickey) Croft Watson, 84, of Hahira died on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at her residence following a period of declining health. She was born in Pavo on July 13, 1933 to the late Arley and Josephin Griffin Croft. She was a homemaker, a Christian loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church where she was active in her Sunday School Class.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Fonda Watson of Ray City, and Ronda and Larry Edmondson of Hahira; a son and daughter-in-law, William Robert, Jr., and Nancy Watson of Evans, Georgia; grandchildren, Kyle Edmondson of Hahira, Vera and Tommy Lightsey of Summerville, South Carolina, Kelly and Craig Floyd of Surrency, Gwen and Laney Carter of Baxley, and William Robert Watson III of Evans, and John-Michael and Jessica Cobb of Goldsboro, North Carolina; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Nicholas, Connor, Caden, and Ryan; a great-great grandchild, Jayce; her sister, Kay Sikes; sisters-in-law, Joyce Croft and Mildred Croft both of Valdosta; a special nephew, Kenny Giles and his wife, Linda. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Robert Watson, Sr.; five sisters, Doris Walden, Joyce Horne, Romie Hart, Mary Lyles, and Corene Walters; two brothers, Ira Gene Croft, and Rev. Colbert Croft.
Services for Mildred (Mickey) Croft Watson will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2018 in the chapel of the McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Clyde Stokes and Rev. Nick Kudyk officiating. The burial will follow in the McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday at the mausoleum chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Association at JDRF.Org or the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org.
