Mildred M. Ford, 96, of Fayetteville, died on February 9, 2011 at Southland Nursing and Rehabilitation Home in Peachtree City. Born in Crisp County, Georgia she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Bessie McGlamry. Mrs. Ford was a homemaker and had lived in Valdosta from 1946 until 1975. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Fayetteville.
Survivors are a daughter and a son in law, Sandra and Hoke Smith of Fayetteville; two grandchildren, Trey (Kerri) Smith and Tresca Smith, four great grandchildren, Adam (Sarah) Hambrick of Fayetteville, Meghan Hambrick, Ryan Smith, Katie Smith, one great great grandchild, Benjamin Hambrick all of Fayetteville; brother and sister in law, O.L. and Grace McGlamry of Albany, sister in law, Vera McGlamry of Cordele. Mrs. Ford was preceded in death by her husband, H. S. Ford and her brother, Bobby McGlamry.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, February 13, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. at Sunset Hill Cemetery. Reverend Charlie Scarbrough will officiate. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Fayette Youth Protection Home, Inc., 101 Devant St. Suite 502 Fayetteville, GA 30214.
