Mildred G. Hausman, 79, of Atlanta, died on Monday, November 6, 2006, at Piedmont Hospital after a short illness. Born in Valdosta on January 5, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Abe and Hannah Golivesky. Mrs. Hausman was the owner of Hausman Clothing in Valdosta, a partner in Georgia Wholesale Clothing, and a partner in Kramers Department Store in Madison, Florida until 2003. She was a lifetime member of the Hadassah Sisterhood serving 25 years as treasurer and was a member of Temple Israel.
Survivors are her daughter and son in law, Karen and Sid Stark of Marietta, son and daughter in law, Harry and B.J. Hausman of Orange Park, Florida, grandchildren, Jason (Kristen) Hausman of Jacksonville, Florida, Ashley (Greg) Phillips of Germany, Brian (Carla) Stark of Scottsdale, Arizona, Jodi Stark of Atlanta, brothers and sister in law, Lamar Golivesky, Norman and Frances Golivesky of Valdosta, nieces and nephews, Michele Golivesky of Decatur, Barry Golivesky, Robin Golivesky, Alan (Shellie) Golivesky all of Atlanta, Marcie (Jason) Maddox of St. Simons, Island, uncle and aunts, Sam and Irene Stein, Sophie Stein all of Baltimore, Maryland.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 8, 2006, at Sunset Hill Cemetery with Rabbi Moshe Elbaz officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Temple Israel of Valdosta.
