Mildred Feinberg

April 12, 1930 — October 21, 2012

Anita Mildred Feinberg, 82, of Parkland, Florida and formerly of Valdosta, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2012 at her home in Parkland surrounded by her children. She was born on April 12, 1930 in Fall River, Massachusetts to the late Ben and Rose Dinnerman. In 1952, she married the love of her life, Solomon Feinberg and in 1956 they moved from Fall River to Valdosta with her parents and late brother, Irving and sister-in-law Natalie Dinnerman to relocate their manufacturing business.

Millie spent most of her time raising six children and has left a wonderful legacy. She is survived by her children, Elyane Feinberg of Atlanta, Karen Feinberg of Stamford, Connecticut, Phillip and Nancy Feinberg of Valdosta, Joy and Donald Baranovitz of Alpharetta, Dena and Gregg Stein of Woodsburgh, New York, Mindy and Gaby Selcer of Parkland, Florida; her loving grandchildren, Seth and Lisa Feinberg, Ryan and Carrie Feinberg, Harris Baranovitz, Matt and Nikki Feinberg, Stevi Feinberg, Sydney Baranovitz, Shelby Feinberg, Zachary Stein, Dani Feinberg, Cameron Feinberg, Sammy Stein, Alex Selcer, Josh Stein, and Sarah Selcer; four nieces, Bonnie Sobelson, Debbie Broomberg, Tammy Hebert, and Rhonda Andruszkiewicz; a nephew, Steven Lipsky; godson, Mike Dinnerman; sisters-in-law, Selma Feinberg Miller and Natalie Dinnerman Lipson. She was preceded in death by her son, Bruce Feinberg and her granddaughter, Giana Selcer.

In 1986, Sol passed away and Millie later moved to Florida to start a new life. She met and married Norman Steinbook in 1996 and spent good times together until his demise in 2007. Millie was a long-time member of Temple Israel in Valdosta. She enjoyed needlepoint, ceramics, canasta, mahjong, discussing politics and reading.

Services for Millie Feinberg will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2012 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rabbi Moshe Elbaz officiating. The burial will follow in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in her name to Temple Israel, 511 Baytree Road Valdosta, Georgia 31602.
