Mildred Cooper Southall

Mildred Cooper Southall, 90, of Valdosta died Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Lakehaven Nursing Home. She was born February 3, 1924 in Brooks County to the late Carlos I. and Alice Crosby Cooper. Mrs. Southall was a member of the Central Church of Christ and retired from Lowndes High School Lunchroom.

Survivors include two sisters and a brother in law, Shirley and William Dame of Valdosta, Anna Wilson of Tallahassee, FL and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Southall, two sisters, Maxine Cullen and Christine Gray and three brothers, Hoover Cooper, Domie Cooper and Bobby Cooper.

Funeral services will be held at 11am, Friday, September 5, 2014 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Mr. Bryan Jarvis officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
