Mildred Baumann

Mildred Baumann, 88, of Valdosta, died on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at Smith Northview Hospital following a brief illness. She was born on September 17, 1920 to the late Harley and Irene Vanwicking Shafer. She was a homemaker and a member of United Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon Kay Bowman and Charles Lokey of Valdosta; grandchildren, Carla Jean Wolford of Gallopolis, Ohio, Carl Edward Bowman of Bainbridge Island, Washington, Sharon Marie Davis of Valdosta, Dawn Michelle Bowman of Hahira, Michael Edward Bowman of Valdosta and Shawn Marie Murphy of Bremerton, Washington; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-greatgrandchildren; and one sister, Betty McDonald of Columbus, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Richard Baumann and a son Carl Raymond Baumann.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday evening, October 20, 2008 at Carson McLane Funeral Home.
