William Michael Dame, 66, of Valdosta, went to his eternal reward on Monday, January 30, 2023, at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on February 20, 1956, in Valdosta to the late William Benjamin and Shirley Cooper Dame. Mike was self-employed for many years in contract cleaning and sales. As a lifelong member of Central Avenue Church of Christ, Mike cherished opportunities to visit the sick and shut-ins throughout the community. A multi-talented musician and vocalist, Mike was passionate about singing in the Jukebox Oldies Band. He also loved performing in the Mullet Band at monthly fish frys he coordinated, succeeding his late father. Now, he will live on singing among the heavenly host.
Mike is survived by his son, Marc Dame (Brandie) of Adel, GA; his daughter, Melanie Dame of Valdosta; sister, Michele Weiland (Rob) of Valdosta; brother, Tim Dame (Nan) of Valdosta; granddaughter, Bayleigh Dame of Adel, GA; and aunt, Anna Dean Wilson of Tallahassee, FL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
