Michelle Crawford

Michelle Crawford, 41, of Valdosta, died on Saturday, November 3, 2007 following a lengthy illness. Born in Pensacola, FL and formerly of Waycross, she had lived here for the past 9 years. Michelle had worked at the Wal-Mart on Perimeter Road for the past 9 years, most recently as a Department Manager. She was very strong willed and has fought her cancer since her diagnosis in 2003. She greatly loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her two daughters, Kelly Justice and Christina Justice, both of Valdosta; and a son and his fiancée, Joshua Justice and Kristi, both of Valdosta, five grandchildren, Katelyn, Michael, Kiera & Janden Moore, all of Valdosta, and Dalton Justice of Valdosta; her mother and step father, Rita & James Mathis, of Lakeland; and her father, Jerry & Sylvia Proulx of Tupelo, MS. Also surviving are a grandmother, Lela Bryars of Waycross; a sister Karlyn Smith of Waycross, a brother and sister in law, Brad & Lisa Proulx, of Naylor; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends. She is preceded in death by her ex husband David Sherrod.

A memorial service will be held for Michelle at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at the Eastern Heights Baptist Church. Rev. Skip Van Nuss will officiate.
