Michael Steven Ellis

Michael Steven Ellis, 58, of Valdosta died on Friday, June 9, 2017 at his home. He was born in Albany, Georgia on January 26, 1959. Steve graduated from Valdosta State College with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and worked as a critical care nurse at South Georgia Medical Center for over 30 years. He inspired many in the nursing field to continue with their dreams and commitment of nursing which in turn impacted the lives of many in our community. He was a loving and caring husband, son, step-father, brother and friend to many.
He is survived by his wife, Melanie Ellis of Valdosta; his step-daughters, Alex Crowder of Roswell, Georgia and Katie Hon of Valdosta; his parents, Lionel and Louise Ellis of Valdosta; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mark and Missie Ellis of Ashburn, Virginia, and John and Molly Ellis of Meridian, Mississippi; a nephew, Scott Ellis and a niece, Jillian Ellis both of Meridian, Mississippi; his best friend, Pete Luke of Nashville, Georgia, and his four-legged baby, Mitzy.
