Michael (Mikey) Eugene Smith

Michael (Mikey) Eugene Smith, 8, of Valdosta, died Monday, January 16, 2006 at his residence. He was born in Valdosta on March 16, 1997, attended Southland Church, and rode horses at Jacob’s Ladder Therapeutic Riding Center. Everyone who knew Mikey loved him. Mikey and his wonderful smile and beautiful eyes touched countless lives. He will be greatly missed by all.

He is survived by his mama and daddy, Ronnie and Karen Smith, brother, Joshua Smith, sisters, Carolyn Newman, Alicia Ravert, Shelli McDonald, Amber Allen, all of Valdosta, Stacey Lyons of Coos Bay, Oregon, Becky Walton of Auburn, Washington, birth parents, Mike Newman and Valerie Newman, grandmother, Loette Perry, great great aunt, Mildred Powell, great aunt, Earlene Allen, all of Valdosta, aunts and uncles, Steve Sutton, Robert Sutton, Leigh and Ricky Amiot, Terri Ellis, Debbie and Billy Lee, Brenda Hudson, all of Valdosta, Gerry and Ruby Smith of Westminster, SC, Kathy Culbreth, Kim and Jim Martin, all of Valdosta, special friends, Cindy (Nae Nae) and Paul Hotchkiss, honorary grandparents, Robin and Andy Ward, Mee Mee’s and Paw Paw’s, Charlotte and Danny Harris, Deloris and W. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at two p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend Doug Griner and Reverend Jean Jack officiating. Burial will follow in Wayfare Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p. m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
