Michael Andrew "Andy" Catoe

Michael Andrew “Andy” Catoe, 34, of Gainesville, FL, and Valdosta, GA, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2019. He was born on June 4, 1985 to Allen and Ginny Catoe in Valdosta. Andy grew up in Valdosta and graduated from Valdosta High School in 2004, he then attended Valdosta State University and studied Political Science. He went to work for Best Buy in Valdosta and Kennesaw, and during his time there he was a Supervisor for the Home Theater Department. He then returned to Valdosta and joined the family business of Aaction Alarms, designing Home Theaters for customers. Several years ago, he moved to Gainesville, FL and continued his career in electronic sales. He loved hunting and fishing, but the thing he looked forward to most in life was spending time with his daughter. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Valdosta.
Andy is survived by his daughter, Ansley Catoe, of Canton, GA; his mother and father, Ginny and Allen Catoe, of Valdosta; his brothers, Robby Catoe, of Valdosta, and Al (Melina) Catoe, of Roswell, GA; his aunts, Susan Stewart, Judy Stewart, both of Valdosta, and Bobbi Watson, of Lake Park; his uncle, David (Mitsi) Catoe, of Williamston, SC; aunt, Joy (Keith) Wiggins, of Pueblo, CO; his great uncle Dick Stewart, Sr., of Valdosta; and numerous cousins, a niece Ella Catoe, and a nephew Tanner Catoe. Andy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ann and Charles Stewart, Sr., Joyce and Robert Catoe, Sr., and uncles, Charlie Stewart, Jr., Terry Stewart, Sr., and Jerry Watson.
Funeral services for Andy will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Whit Byram officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
