Melvin Hubert Thompson

Melvin Hubert Thompson, 63, of Lake Park, died Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born in Valdosta on May 22, 1945 to the late James Edward and Kathleen Blanton Thompson. Mr. Thompson loved fishing and spending time with his grandson.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Thompson of Lake Park, two sons, Andrew Thompson of Lake Park and Shawn Thompson of Cairo, one daughter, Melissa Thompson of Cairo, two grandsons, Colby Dalton Thompson and Shelby Thompson, one brother, James Mac Thompson of Valdosta and good friend, Wally Dennis.

Graveside funeral services with burial to follow will be held Monday, August 11, 2008 at 2:30 p. m. at Sunset Hill Cemetery with Reverend Molly Danner officiating.
