Melissa Renee Fletcher

Melissa Renee Fletcher, 55, of Lake Park died Sunday, May 23, 2021 at her residence. She was born on November 9, 1965 in Valdosta. Melissa had a passion for children and young people. She ran a day care service out of her home for several years. Melissa also worked in the office of Beech Island Knitting Company in Quitman for twelve years. She was a member of Benevolence Baptist Church.
Melissa is survived by her mother and step father, Loraine and James Folsom of Valdosta, children, Savannah Fletcher of Clyattville, Zachary Fletcher (Ayla) of Valdosta, Madison Anglin (Michael) of Clyattville, grandchildren, Basia Fletcher, Bensen Fletcher, Cayden Fletcher, Camryn Fletcher and Emerson Anglin, step-sisters, Karen Allen of Newnan, Lynn Courvelle of Houston, TX and Stacy Rogers of Madison, AL, several aunts, uncles and numerous cousins. She is preceded in death by her father, Rayford Owens and grandson, Ethan Anglin.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 27, 2021 at four p. m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend Wayne Boykin officiating. Melissa will be laid to rest at the feet of her grandfather, Ellis Pollock at Benevolence Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from three until four p. m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
