Melinda Rehberg

Melinda Rehberg, 44, of Lake Park, died on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in Tallahassee, Florida. Born in Valdosta on December 28, 1970, Melinda was a graduate of Lowndes High School Class of 1989. She attended and graduated from Darton College in 1991 with a Dental Hygienist Bachelor of Science Degree. She began her dental hygienist career with Dr. Roy Moody and then worked for Dr. Mark Retterbush for almost 15 years. She enjoyed her career as a hygienist but in 2014 she decided to take some time off to focus on her family. Melinda loved her family and friends with all her being, especially her two children. She loved the beach, her favorite spot was St. Augustine and she loved talking on the phone with friends. Melinda was passionate about the joy she found in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, ministering and sharing with those in her church, Calvary Baptist in Lake Park, her bible study and on the telephone.
Survivors are her husband, Brian Rehberg of Lake Park; her son, Tyler Rehberg and his Fiancee`, Taelor Turner of Clyattville, her daughter, Bailey Rehberg of Lake Park; mother and stepfather, Glenda and Jerry Bennett of Lake Park; siblings of the heart, Don James of Elizabethton, Tennessee, Gina Williams of Douglas, and several other cousins; maternal grandparents, Robert and Grace Harris of Waycross; paternal grandmother, Juanita Barnard Raulerson of Waycross; aunt and uncles, Sharon Crawford of Waycross, Virginia and Alton Wolfe of Douglas, Nell and Shannon Wimpey of Waycross, Ronny and Wanda Dixon of Waycross, step siblings, Michelle and Ken Wheeler of Hahira, Lee and Kelley Bennett of Manchester, England. Melinda was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth C. Barnard.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2015, at 11 a.m. at McLane Lakewood Funeral Home. Reverend Robbie Herrington will officiate. Burial will follow at Lake Park Cemetery.
