Maureen Teresa Petty

Maureen Teresa Petty, 59, of Valdosta, died Monday, May 11, 2009. She was born on September 29, 1949 in Marquette, Michigan to Melvin Lawrence Joseph Morin, Sr. and Margaret Virginia Humphreys Morin. Maureen was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her mother, Margaret Virginia Wright of Valdosta, three daughters and one son in law, Babette and Chris Vallee of Knoxville, TN, Cindy Gail Lynn Turner and Maureen Amanda Louise Petty of Columbus, GA, two sons and one daughter in law, Willie Alvin Turner and Harry Norman Turner, Jr. and his wife, Deanna of Valdosta, three grandchildren, Steven Christopher Vallee, Lindsay Babette Vallee and Alise Nicole Vallee, two brothers and one sister in law, Michael and Cindy Morin of Lake Park and Marcus Morin (Paul Stokes) of Atlanta, two sisters, Madris DePasture of Lake Park and Marla Elizabeth Morin of Valdosta. Maureen is preceded in death by her father and one brother, Melvin Lawrence Joseph Morin, Jr.

Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, May 18, 2009 at one p. m. at Sunset Hill Cemetery with Mr. Jerry Carter officiating. Babette Vallee will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow.
