Mattie Sue Peterson Flowers

Florence, South Carolina - After a long illness, Mrs. Flowers, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at 11:55 p.m.

She was born in 1920 in Echols County to the late Green and Mary Ida Peterson. She graduated from Echols County High School.

Mrs. Flowers is survived by a sister Hettie Lou Peterson Prine of Lakeland, Florida and a brother, Jerry Alar Peterson of California. She is also survived by her six children, Ronnie Flowers (Mary) of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Donnie Flowers, Linda Flowers, Mary Flowers Priester (Lenair), Patsy Flowers Kelley (Lavon) all of Florence, South Carolina and Deborah Flowers Weatherford (David) of California; 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lee Flowers and her second husband Jack Butler.

The funeral service will be Sunday, September 24, 2006 at Antioch Church in Echols County at 3 p.m.
The Reverend Mickey Corbett will officiate. The family will receive visitors from 2 – 3 p.m. and immediately following the service at the church. Burial will be in the Peterson Family plot at Statenville Cemetery. There will be no graveside service.
