Matthew Thomas (Matt) Perry

Matthew Thomas (Matt) Perry, 46, of Lake Park, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on September 14, 1966 in Valdosta to the late Robert Gordies Perry and Doreen Lawler Perry. Matt was a member of Lake Park United Methodist Church, a 1984 graduate of Lowndes High School and an avid FSU fan.

He is survived by his sister, Marianne Guffey of Fairbanks, AK, nephew, Rodney Guffey of Fairbanks, AK, nieces, Erica Simpson (Joey) of Valdosta and Dianna Therrien of Salt Lake City, UT, nephew, Seth Guffey of Davies, FL, his step mother, Shirley Perry and his step sister, Devonne Taylor (Jimmy) of Statenville, several grand nieces and grand nephews, Avery, Bear, Caitlyn, Salina and Joey, maternal uncle and aunt, Don and Bea Lawler of Valdosta, paternal uncle and aunt, Pat and Rena Perry of Starke, FL, cousins, Patty DalPonte (Mark) of Hahira and Connie Nobles of Gainesville, FL. Matt is preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents, Robert and Ruth Perry and his brother in law, Steve Guffey.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 23, 2013 at eleven a. m. at the graveside in Lake Park Cemetery with Reverend Sammy Reaves officiating. Burial will follow.
