July 24, 1985 – May 28, 2013

Matthew Keith Kuehn, 27, of Valdosta went home to be with the Lord on May 28th 2013. Matthew was a graduate of Lowndes High School; Class of 2003 where during his sophomore year he excelled in the ROTC program, Matthew wanted badly to serve his country, felt it was a family tradition and an enormous sense of pride, but was unable to serve due to medical reasons. He graduated from Valdosta Tech with an Associates Degree as a Radiology Technician in 2007. In 2012 Matthew completed CDL School at Wiregrass and was currently employed with Schneider National where he was a team driver with his best friend, Eddie Boyce.

Matthew is survived by his parents, Keith & Donna Kuehn of Valdosta, a sister Jeri Joyce Floyd and brother-in-law, Marius Floyd, two nephews, Markus and Christian Floyd of Valdosta and his half-brother, Keith Kuehn, Jr. He is also survived by his maternal grandfather, Don McCraven and wife Agnes of Rock Hill, SC as well as four aunts, Debbie & Scott Sackett of San Antonio, TX, Sandy & Jim Minneo of Manchester, CT, Tammy & Tex Ford of Kerrville, TX and Gwen Stumpf of FL. Three first cousins, Donald Wheat of Colorado Springs, CO, Keri Soltoski of Manchester, CT and Schuyler Young of Anchorage, AK. He also leaves behind his God Parents Terry and Denise Woodruff of Valdosta, GA

Matthew is predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Joyce McCraven, his paternal grandparents, Chuck & Elaine Kuehn and his first cousin, Taylar Young.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Saturday, June 1, 2013 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Dr. Robert Hensley, Matthew's great uncle officiating. Burial will follow in the Cat Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1pm until 2pm at the funeral home.
