Mary Williams Bailey Cook, 83 of Valdosta died on Thursday, February 24, 2005 at South Georgia Medical Center. Born on February 19, 1922 in Lowndes, County, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Clinton and Allie Wilson Williams. She was a retired department manager with Sears and a member of Crossroads Baptist Church and the Mary Martha Sunday School Class.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Bob Womack of Atlanta; a son, Ralph C. Cook, Jr. of Valdosta; a granddaughter, Lane Womack of Atlanta; a sister and brother-in-law, Eleanor and Red Wilkerson of Lexington, KY; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Glenn and Doris Williams of Savannah, Roger Williams of Thomasville and Dale and Carolyn Williams of Waycross. She was loved by numerous nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Cook, a sister, Gladys Smith and three brothers, Tom Williams, Billy Williams and Fred Williams.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2005 at Sunset Hill Cemetery with Reverend Stephen Carr officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dasher Memorial Heart Center, P.O.
