Mary Simmons Page, 74 of Valdosta, died on Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at her residence after a lengthy illness. Born on November 15, 1932 in Alamo, GA, she was the daughter of the late William L. and Sally Ryals Simmons. She was a Christian.
Survivors are her husband, James Thomas Page, Jr. of Valdosta, daughters and sons-in-law, Valerie Joan and Chris Sawyer, Leslie and Michael Harpe all of Valdosta; sons and daughters-in-law, James Thomas III and Jami Page of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Edmund and Julie Page of Valdosta; grandchildren, Ashley Marie and her husband, Matt Fuller of Seattle, WA, Nick Page of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Jessie Harpe of Valdosta, Matt Page of Charleston, SC, Rachael Page and Edmund Page II both of Valdosta; sister, Doris Flanders of Lyons and William Simmons of Atlanta; several nieces, nephews, uncles; aunts, Melba Simmons of Jesup, Dorothy Simmons of Daytona Beach and sisters by heart, Ann Sears, Charlie Harrison and Glenda Weatherford.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 27, 2006 in the chapel of the Carson Mclane Funeral Home with Reverend Jim Schappaugh and Reverend Skip Van Nus officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1 p.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the church or charity of choice.
