Mary Nell Register, 77, of Statenville, died on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at her daughter’s residence following a period of declining health. She was born on July 23, 1941 in Lake City, Florida to the late Herbert D. Moore and Idell DeLoach Hughes and V.B. Hughes. Mrs. Mary Nell enjoyed listening to music and loved attending the music halls at Mt. Zion and Quitman to name a few. She especially loved Gospel music, and loved working with her flowers and spoiling grandchildren and her dogs, Sugar and Little A. She was an avid shopper and was known for her great sense of style and fashion, and was also known for her great sense of humor. Mrs. Mary Nell was member of the Statenville Church of God.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Ronald Watford of Valdosta; her son and daughter-in-law, Gregg and Annell Register of Statenville; her grandchildren and their spouses, Christy and Craig Ives of Hahira, Ron Watford, and Levoy Register both of Valdosta, Trent and Christine Register of Lake Park, Casey and Shane Kiselica of Statenville, and Chelsea Suffield of Lake Park; ten great-grandchildren, Zach, McKenzie, and Brylie Sale, Braylea Register, Aulden, Colt, and Bailey Register, Gibson and Sawyer Kiselica, and Si Suffield; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Alvin Register; her son, Clinton Register; two brothers, Buck Church and Howard Young, and her sister, Ellen Goff.
Services for Mary Nell Register will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the Statenville Church of God with Pastor Tyler Carter officiating. The burial will follow in the Statenville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Park.
