Mary Lou Frier/Walker, 82, of Valdosta, died Tuesday, March 15, 2005 after a lengthy illness. She was born in Lowndes County on October 8, 1922 to the late Robert Arnold and Lily Rose Stalvey. Mrs. Frier/Walker was retired from Thompson Industries and was a member of Swilley Hill Church of God.
She is survived by two daughters and two sons in law, Louise and Gurdine Stanley and Dorothy Smith of Valdosta and Rusty Wetherington of Hahira, three sons and daughters in law, Archie and Sharon Frier of Port St. John, FL, Bobby and Helen Frier of Lake Park and Shelton and Joan Frier of Hahira, 19 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, special friend and caretaker, Irene Roberts and Ann Smith. Mrs. Frier/Walker was preceded in death by her husbands, Olive Frier and T. W. Walker, one daughter, Linda Wetherington, one grandson, Bobby E. Smith and two sons in law, Bobby G. Smith and Joe Crouch.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 19, 2005 at 11 a. m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend Raymond Gabbard and Reverend Keith Lairsey officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery in Hahira. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p. m. until 8:30 p. m. Friday at the funeral home.
