Mary King Stephenson

Mary King Stephenson, age 85, of Valdosta, peacefully passed away on November 27, 2023, at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born on November 16, 1938, in Greenwood Springs, MS, to the late William Claude King and Mable Kinard King. Mrs. Stephenson had a passion for gardening and could often be found tending to her ferns and flowers. She had a deep love for animals, particularly her cherished chihuahua, Delilah. Spending time with her family and friends brought her immense joy, especially when it involved her beloved granddaughter. She attended First Methodist Church.

Mrs. Stephenson is survived by her daughter, Libbi Stephenson Malone, of Valdosta; her son, William Lee Stephenson (Linda), of Valdosta; and her granddaughter, Courtney Elizabeth Malone, of Columbus. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service to celebrate Mrs. Stephenson's life will be held at 11 am on Friday, December 1, 2023, in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
