Mary Helen Stalvey Blackwell

Mary Helen Stalvey Blackwell, 71, of Valdosta, died Friday, November 4, 2005 at Smith Northview Hospital. She was born on December 23, 1933 in Lowndes County to the late E. J. and Clara Louise Newton Stalvey. Mrs. Blackwell was retired from Evelyn’s Dress Shop. Her husband, John Robert Blackwell preceded her in death.

She is survived by two daughters and one son in law, Sonia Ellenberg of Valdosta, Tonia and John Studstill of Hahira, four grandchildren, Dillon Studstill, Gage Studstill, Hunter Davis and Harlee Ellenberg, four sisters, Dorothy Avera of The Villages, FL, Linda Plaire of Valdosta, Shirley Taylor of Hahira, Dianne Wright of Valdosta, four brothers, Jimmy Stalvey of Adel, Johnny Stalvey, Jackie Stalvey and Gerald Stalvey of Hahira, several nieces and nephews and is preceded in death by four brothers, Buford Stalvey, Lonnie Stalvey, Lamar Stalvey and Harry Stalvey.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 6, 2005 at three p. m. in the chapel of the Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira with burial in Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from six until eight p. m.
