Mary Helen Hensley

Mary Helen Rountree Hensley, 85, of Hahira, died Sunday, December 2, 2007 at her residence. She was born in Hahira on September 23, 1922 to the late Jack and Claudia Lawson Rountree. Mrs. Hensley was a homemaker and worked at Commercial Bank in Hahira for many years. She was a member of Hahira First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hensley is survived by her grandson and granddaughter in law, Trey and Lindsey Odom of Valdosta, three nieces, Trudy Hensley of Tampa, FL, Susan Akman of Washington, D. C., Dolores Rogers of Macon and one nephew, Johnny Rountree of Tampa, FL. She is preceded in death by her husband, John O. Hensley, one daughter, Cathy Hensley McDonald and one brother, John Wesley Rountree.

Funeral services will be held today, December 4, 2007 at two p. m. at the Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira with Reverend David Gordon officiating. Entombment will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family received friends from five until seven p. m. Monday at the funeral home.
