Mary Helen Bruhl

Mary Helen Bruhl, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on September 18, 2023 in Tallahassee, FL at the age of 71. She was born in Bath, NY to the late Michael George and Doris Vandelinder George. For 13 years, Mrs. Bruhl worked as a dedicated personnel manager for Walmart. In her free time, she found joy in clothes shopping, exploring new places through travel, and collecting angels. Her love for dogs was evident, and she cherished spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In 1959, at the young age of 8, Mrs. Bruhl made medical history as the second child in the United States to undergo open heart surgery. Mrs. Bruhl's unwavering love and commitment were evident in her 49-year marriage to her devoted husband, David Bruhl. Together, they shared a journey filled with love, support, and shared dreams. Mrs. Bruhl was of the Greek Orthodox faith.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, David H. Bruhl, of Valdosta; her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Elizabeth Bruhl, of Corpus Christi, TX; her grandchildren, Josannah Bruhl and Nicholas Bruhl, both of Corpus Christi, TX, Abigal Curry and Robert Curry, of Athens, GA, and Macky Joe and Karlie, of Valdosta. Her brother, James George, of New York, and numerous nieces and nephews, also survive her. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved son, Joseph Bruhl.
