Mary Hanna Lahood

Mary Hanna LaHood, 99, of Valdosta, died on Saturday, November 13, 2004, at Smith Northview Hospital. Born in Jdita, Lebanon on February 2, 1905, she was the daughter of the late John and Sophie Hanna and widow of the late George J. LaHood, Sr. Mrs. Lahood had made her home here for over 80 years. She was a founder and faithful member of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church.

Survivors are a daughter and son in law, Ann and William Joseph of Valdosta, a son, George and Gonza LaHood of Valdosta; 8 grandchildren, Pam Akins, Billy Joseph, Janice Worn, Linda Rowe, Buddy LaHood, Charles LaHood, Bobby Joseph and Paul Joseph; 20 great grandchildren, 19 great great grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church with The Reverend John O’Brien, The Reverend Marvin LeFrois and The Reverend Fred Nijem will officiate.
