Mary Granger Parker, 94, of Valdosta, died Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at her residence. She was born in Edinburgh, Scottland on April 27, 1921 to the late Hugh and Mary Dougherty Granger. Mrs. Parker had been a budget analyst for the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. She was a member of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church.
Mrs. Parker is survived by her son, Michael Hugh Parker, MD of Lake Park, special friends, June Bell of Lake Park and Verilette Hinkle of Valdosta, grandson, Hugh Michael Parker (Katie) of Windsor, CO, granddaughter, Bonnie Michelle Parker McTyre (Emory) of Winston-Salem, NC, and great grandchildren, Lily McTyre, Fionn Bennett Parker and Bridget Parker. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Parker.
Mrs. Parker will be cremated and no services will be held. Her cremains will be interred at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring, Maryland.
