Mary Frances Lineberger, 78, of Blackshear, died on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at Satilla Hospice in Waycross. Born in Valdosta on November 6, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Willis and Audrey Mae Walker Owens. Widow of the late Jimmy Lineberger, Mary was a Baptist. She liked bowling and fishing and loved to cook for family and friends. She loved her family, her dog, Tiki, and gardening her flowers in her yard. In her last year’s her sister-in-law, Laura, and her brother, Larry Allen Owens took good care of Miss Mary, and she really appreciated their love, care, and companionship.
Survivors are her daughter, Lucretia (Ricky) Cole of Pooler, sons, Pete (Sherry) Barrett of MacClenny, Florida, Steven (Jenna) Lineberger of Crossett, Alabama; sisters, Martha Owens, Ruby (Jack) Hudson, brother, Larry Allen (Laura) Owens, seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and twelve nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers, Carlos Owens, Calvin Owens, and brother-in-law, Bobby Herndon.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the chapel of the mausoleum at Riverview from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday. Condolences may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com.
