Mary Frances Harp Todd

Mary Frances Harp Todd, 76, of Valdosta, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2011 at her residence following a brief illness. She was born on September 19, 1934 in Valdosta to the late Carl, Sr. and Annie Culpepper Harp and has been a resident of Valdosta all her life. She was a graduate of Valdosta High School where she was a proud member of the Marching Cats Band. She was retired from Crackin Good Bakery after 35 years of service and worked for Shorty's Steakhouse for many years. She was a faithful member of Faith Assembly of God where she was active in the prayer ministry. She also co-hosted a Wednesday night Bible study in her home.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Ellen Todd; a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Gerry Russo; granddaughters, Erin Russo and Kelsey Russo; a grandson and his wife, Michael and Jamie Warren and a great-granddaughter, Jaydn Warren all of Valdosta; sisters and brothers-in-law, Christine and Charles Wetherington, Betty Ruth and Franklin Butler, Dorothy Harp and Barbara Pierce all of Valdosta; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Suggs, a brother, Carl Harp, Jr., a brother-in-law, Billy Pierce, a niece, Charlene Wetherington, and a nephew, Charles Wetherington, Jr.

Services for Mary Frances Harp Todd will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Gerry Russo and Rev. Wayne Hughes officiating. The burial will follow in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
