Mary Frances Croft, 66 of Valdosta, died on Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Born on April 13, 1939 in Ashburn, GA, she was the daughter of the late Barney and Thelma Wright Hart and widow of Doyle Croft. She was a homemaker and a member of Lake Park United Methodist Church.
Survivors are a son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Sharon Tyson of Valdosta; grandchildren, Trey and Blayne Tyson of Valdosta; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gladys Jarrells of Moultrie, Melba and Buddy Yarbrough, Wanda and Mac Thompson all of Valdosta; brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Lois Hart of Albany; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Mary Hart of Albany; brother-in-law and his wife, Mr. & Mrs. Gene Croft of Louisiana. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Morris, Melvin and J. B. Hart and her stepfather, Wiley Floyd.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 26, 2006 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Michael P. Lyons officiating. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Moultrie. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 25, 2006 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
