Mary Ethel Redish, 90, of Valdosta, died Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Lakehaven Nursing Home. She was born in Nashville, GA on May 9, 1924 to the late Frank Thomas Brantley and Annie Harnage Brantley. Mrs. Redish was a homemaker and a member of Greenwood Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters and one son in law, Glenda Folsom of Riverview, FL, Catherine and Jerry Strickland of Baxley, GA, two sons and daughters in law, Fred and Tress Redish and Clif and Dottie Redish of Valdosta, nine grandchildren, David Folsom, Jr. (Karen), Sandy Folsom Ripley (Adam), Poppy Kroese (Mike), Becky Bourquine (Stacy), Erin Wacter (Kevin), Emily Tillman (Eric), Travis Redish (Kayla), Kaitlyn Redish and Bailey Winningham (Zachary), twelve great grandchildren and her sister, Evelyn Sheppard of Jacksonville, FL. Mrs. Redish is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, June C. Redish, seven sisters, one brother and her son in law, David Folsom.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 20, 2015 at two p. m. in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Dr. Clyde Stokes and Mr. Donald Summers officiating. Burial will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2 p. m. Monday at the funeral home.
