Mary Edna Tomlinson, 93, of Lake Park died Friday, August 29, 2014 at Lakehaven Nursing Home. She was born on September 27, 1920 in Lake Park to the late Ewell Franklin Corbett and Sara Cornelia Hiers Corbett. Mrs. Tomlinson worked much of her life as a weaver at Strickland Cotton Mills and was a member of Lake Park Church of Christ. She loved her family.
Mrs. Tomlinson is survived by three daughters and sons in law, Jean and Jerry Carter of Lake Park, Gwen and Bobby Wilson of Putney and Ann and Frank Earley of Albany, four sisters and one brother in law, Gladys Davis and Helen Sears of Jasper, FL, Lucille Petty of Jacksonville, FL, Myrtice and Huston Hales of Tavares, FL, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Asbury C. Waldron and J. B. Tomlinson, her son, Carl Waldron, Jr., her sister, Connie Register and her brother, James Corbett.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 30, 2014 at three p. m. at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Park with Mr. Marvin Greene officiating. Burial will follow at Herring Cemetery. The family will receive friends from two until three p. m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers please make donations to your favorite charity.
