Mary Catherine Parrish Gordon

Mary Catherine Parrish Gordon, 93, of Plantation, Florida and formerly of Hahira passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2013 into the care of our Lord. Mary Catherine was born on January 7, 1920 in Fenholloway, Florida to the late Willie H. and Jessie Mae Roundtree Phelps. Mary was an artificial floral designer in Pompano Beach and Plantation, Florida for many years and in Hahira after retirement. Remember our Mother with a smile and a prayer as she did you, touching all of our lives for so many years with love and kindness.

Survivors include her sister, Willie Mae Register of Hahira, her children, Mary Virginia and Robert Grygiel of Ocala, FL, Michael T. and Susan Parrish of Sunrise, FL, Gary and B. and Jo-ellen Parrish of Indiatlantic, FL, stepdaughters, Susan and Lee Marsh, Sr. of Royal Palm Beach, FL, Patricia and Aurelio Fernandez of Plantation, FL, 10-grandchildren, 6-great grandchildren, nephew, Mack (Betts) Sharpe of Gatlinburg, TN, nieces, Hariette Parrish-Rossi of Wayne, NJ, Carol (Lonny) Jones of Gainesville, FL. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Stanley K. Parrish in 1964 and Haynes T. Gordon in 1996, her brother, Marvin H. Phelps, Sr., nephew, Marvin H. Phelps, Jr. and grandsons, Lee Marsh, Jr. and Bradley Parrish.

Graveside memorial services will be held at 1pm, Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery in Hahira.
