Mary Bonner Stalvey

Mary Bonner Stalvey, known as MayMay to most family and friends, passed away peacefully, January 11, 2018 at Langdale Hospice of South Georgia. She is preceded in death by her 5 siblings, Gene Bonner, Thomas Carling (T.C.) Bonner, Fred Bonner, Jerry (Buddy) Bonner, Sr. and Donald Bonner, Sr. Mary was born June 3, 1923 in Valdosta, to Thomas and Carrie Fields Bonner. She married Glenn Stalvey and lived many happy years in California. After the death of her husband, she returned to her hometown of Valdosta where she remained until her death. MayMay loved to socialize and would share story after story with anyone who was nearby. She captivated you with her amazing memory, witty repertoire, and colorful hand gestures that no story would be complete without. Mary was a very kind and compassionate lady who always encouraged those around her to see the best in everyone. She never complained and always viewed her cup as running over no matter her circumstances. MayMay was independent, curious, stylish and loved her white powder donuts. She was a loving aunt, sister-in-law and friend to so many. We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from her during her years with us. She will be missed so much. Mary will be buried alongside her mother, father and brothers at Sunset Hill Cemetery on Sunday January 14, 2018.
