Mary Ann Robinson Brown, 77, of Hahira died Monday, April 9, 2018 at the Fellowship Home. She was born in Hahira on February 19, 1941 to the late Joe Carl and Flonnie Bell Harris Robinson and was a lifelong resident of Hahira. Mrs. Brown was a member of the Hahira First Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She worked as a nurse at Smith Hospital for twenty years and then for twelve years with Dr. Mike Chiang before retiring. Mrs. Brown loved God and family, caring for others, fishing, travelling and being outdoors.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Odis (Junior) Brown, Jr. of Hahira; her son and daughter in law, Tim and Karen Brown of Macon, GA; two daughters and sons in law, Sherry and Paul Dooley of Valdosta, Michelle and Richard Crosby of Canton, GA; 8-grandchildren, 10-great grandchildren and 1-great great grandchild; one brother and sister in law, Johnny and Judy Robinson of Dunn, NC; two sisters and a brother in law, Hazel Strawder of Ray City, Ruth and Tom Treadwell of Valdosta; her best friend, Faye Culpepper of Valdosta. She was preceded in death by siblings, Doris Pickett, Leland Robinson, Bill Robinson, Joe Robinson, Charles Robinson, Ronald Robinson and E. J. Robinson. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of Fellowship Home for their love and care of Mrs. Brown during her illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the Hahira First Baptist Church with Rev. David Gordon officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8pm at the Martin/McLane Funeral Home in Hahira. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Hahira First Baptist Church, 201 N.
