Mary Agnes Padgett Miller

February 16, 1920 — August 9, 2011

Mary Agnes Padgett Miller, 91, of Echols County died Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at her home. She was born in Bradenton, Florida on February 16, 1920 and had lived in Echols County most of her life. Mrs. Miller was a member of the Bethel Church of God and retired as a lunchroom worker from the Echols County Schools. She loved growing her flowers, gardening and cooking for her family.

Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Mary and Roland Hammock, sons and daughter in law, Charles and Cleomenteen Miller, Tom Miller all of Valdosta, son in law, Jerry Corbett of Lake Park, seven grandchildren and their spouses, Alvin Hammock, Jeff and Pam Hammock, Kenny and Sherry Hammock, Wanda and Kenny Rogers, Tonia and Vince Kenny, Tammy Johnson, Troy and Pam Corbett, eighteen great grandchildren, Dusty Hammock, Dylan Hammock, Josh Hammock, Travis Hammock, Nick Hammock, Tyler Hammock, Chelsea Hammock, Ethan Hammock, Logan Hammock, Jenna Johnson, Jenci Johnson, Jordan Rogers, Justin Rogers, Ashton Kenny, Chandler Kenny, Sydney Corbett, Marley Corbett and Ty Corbett, two great great grandchildren, Hayden Hammock and Adyson Hammock, two brothers and sister in law, Carlton Padgett, Jimmy and Sybil Padgett all of Jennings, Fla. and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her her husband, Durell David Miller, a daughter, Joyce Corbett, granddaughter in law, Sabrina Hammock and a sister, Lillian Mathis.

Funeral services will be held at 3pm, Thursday, August 11, 2011 at the Bethel Church of God with the Rev. Jimmy Dowdy and Rev. Daryl Pate officiating. Burial will follow in the Kinsey Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:30-3:00 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Hospice, 101 Northside Drive, Valdosta, GA 31602 or to the charity of your choice.
