Mary Agnes Hayes Sixeas, 89, departed this life on Monday, April 2, 2012.
She was born on January 29, 1923, in Hagerstown, Maryland, to Alice Grace Carty Hayes and Francis Leo Hayes. She was the widow of William Carl Sixeas. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kimberley and Harold Phillips of Waycross, Georgia; grandchildren, Keri Phillips of Waycross, Georgia, and Travis Phillips of Hanceville, Alabama; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Andrew, Gabrielle, Alexandria and Samantha, all of Waycross, Mason and Colton of Hanceville. She was preceded in death by her brother, Leo Hayes.
She was a member of Park Avenue United Methodist Church, Chapel Sunday School Class, the Chancel Choir, Quilting Bee and also served as a volunteer at Lake Park Elementary School for 17 years.
The Funeral Service for Mrs. Sixeas will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2012, in the Chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home, with Dr. Craig Rikard officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials to your favorite charity.
