Martha Sue Peacock McMillan, 78, of Lake Park died on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Langdale Hospice House following a lengthy illness. She was born on October 24, 1938 in Ashburn, Georgia to the late H. Vann and Ruby Barfield Alexander. She was the co-owner of The Paint Store and a member of the First Baptist Church of Lake Park. She enjoyed Atlanta Braves baseball, traveling, arts and crafts, and spending time with the loves of her life, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne McMillan of Lake Park; her children and their spouses, Lynn and Carlton Patrick of Lake Park, George and Mary Beth Peacock of Quitman, Thomas and Renee Peacock of Lake Park, Teena and Gordon Foster of Jacksonville, Florida, and Rick and Brenda McMillan of Leesburg, Georgia; her grandchildren and their spouses, Stacy Patrick of Lake Park, Suzanne and Billy Hunter, Stefanie and Tommy Sutton, Lindsey and Joe Brooks, and Tyler Peacock all of Valdosta, Taylor Peacock and Ashton Peacock both of Lake Park, Justin and Magan Kennedy of Greensboro, Georgia, Jordan Roberts of Jacksonville, Florida, Trent and Shelli McMillan and Wesley McMillan both of Leesburg, Georgia; numerous great-grandchildren; her brother and sister-in-law, Don and Dian Alexander of Callahan, Florida; her sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Mike Bunton of Jacksonville, Florida. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sue Peacock; a brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Vivian Alexander; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Brenda Medford, and Gwen and R.L. Hayes.
Services for Martha Sue Peacock McMillan will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home, 2215 N. Patterson St., Valdosta, GA, with Rev. Robert Dawson, Rev. Jason Spell officiating. The burial will follow in the McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
