Marshall R. Shelton

Marshall Reid "Buddy" Shelton of Lake Park, Georgia went peacefully to heaven on January 3, 2014. He was born on January 31, 1945 to Marshall Shelton and Nina Shelton of Nashville, TN. He was a dedicated employee of Bovis Lend Lease and avid golfer. He was greatly loved and will be deeply missed by all. He loved to spend time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

Buddy is survived by his loving wife Sharon Shelton of Lake Park, GA; brother Steve Shelton of Nashville, TN; uncle and aunt Gilbert & Jean Shelton of Nashville, TN; four children Stephanie & (Robert) Christlieb of Braselton, GA, Chris & (Ashley) Shelton of Cumming, GA, Heather Raines of Pensacola, FL, Ashleigh & Jonathan Webb of Statenville, GA; five grandchildren Lindsee Johnson of Valdosta, GA, Logan McQuaig of Valdosta, GA, Laceigh & Landis Raines of Hahira, GA and Landan Webb of Statenville, GA.

Funeral services for Buddy will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at the Chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Pastor Zach Corbett officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 Monday at the funeral home. The family will be accepting flowers or in lieu of flowers a donation can be made to Langdale and South Georgia Hospice.
