Mark Stephen Satterfield

Mark Stephen Satterfield, 57, of Valdosta died Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Langdale Hospice House. He was born in Mt. Vernon, Illinois on December 24, 1953 and had lived in Valdosta for the past ten years. Mr. Satterfield served three years in the United States Army and retired in July 2010 from Altria Sales. His passion was golf and traveling. Mark was a devoted husband for 34 years to his wife, Ann and will be sadly missed by many family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Satterfield of Valdosta, his parents, Pete and Betty Satterfield of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, brother and sister in law, Kevin and Nancy Satterfield of Brunswick, GA., sister and brother in law, Lori and Kevin Brookman of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, his mother in law, Marilyn Becherer of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, brother in law, Mark Becherer of Greenville, SC., five nephews, Matt Satterfield, Ryan Satterfield, Kyle Brookman, Matt Becherer, Miles Becherer, his niece, Tara Brookman. He was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Satterfield of Herrin, Illinois, his grandmother, Mary Cole and three aunts, Verla Shepherd, Ruth Satterfield and Dee Pearson all of Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

A Celebration of Mark's Life will be held on Sunday, April 3, 2011 from 11am-2pm at the Stone Creek Country Club in Valdosta. Memorials may be made to the Langdale Hospice House, P. O.
