Mark Canada, 56, of Valdosta, passed away surrounded by his family on November 26, 2015 at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was born September 16, 1959 in Corpus Christi, TX to Janece Canada Sulephen and the late Buddy Wayne Canada. Mark was a computer engineer and volunteer firefighter. He held a black belt in Karate and in his spare time he enjoyed playing drums and spending time with his wife and children. He was a loving husband, father, and son who adored his family and was a diehard Republican.
Mr. Canada is survived by his wife, Karen Canada of Valdosta; two sons, Mark Allen Canada and Jon Cornwell Canada; a daughter, Sabrina Canada, all of Valdosta; his mother and step-father, Janece Canada Sulephen and Jack Sulephen of Corpus Christi, TX; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Gary and Lucy Sulephen of Mathis, TX, Aaron and Stephany Notterman of Buffalo Grove, IL, Russell Sulephen of Houston, TX; a sister, Kimberly Canada of Crockett, TX; his mother-in-law, Thelma Allen of Valdosta; his aunt and uncle, Kathy and John L. Johnson of Douglass, TX; numerous nieces and nephews and a large extended family. He was preceded in death by his father, Buddy Wayne Canada.
A memorial service for Mark Canada will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2015 in the chapel at Carson McLane Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation from 1 p.m. until service time. Final placement will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens.
