MARK A. FREEMAN, 45, of Lake Park died Saturday, March 19, 2005 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. He was born on October 5, 1959 in Brunswick, Maine and had lived in Lowndes County since 1977. Mr. Freeman was a graduate of Valdosta State College where he obtained his Masters Degree and Six Year Educational Degree and was a former administrator with the Valdosta City School System. He was a Delta Chi, actively involved with the Boys and Girls Club in coaching sports and played with the Valdosta City Softball Team. He was a member of the Lake Park United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Freeman, three sons, Josh Freeman, Matt Freeman and Zac Freeman, his parents, Paul and Eula Freeman all of Lake Park, his sister and brother in law, Paula and Steve Miller, two nephews, Jackson Miller and Nate Miller all of North Carolina.
Memorial services will be held at 5pm, Thursday, March 24, 2005 at the Lake Park United Methodist Church with the Rev. Michael P. Lyons officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8pm at the Carson McLane Funeral Home in Valdosta. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Lake Park United Methodist Church Building Fund.
