Marjorie L. Samuels

Marjorie L. Samuels, 92, of Valdosta, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at the Fellowship Home.

Pilot, aero club manager, business, manager, first college graduate in her family, friend, sister, wife, mother, aunt and grandmother. Marjorie L Samuels was all of these and if you asked anyone, she was the best. Although a consummate homemaker, Marjorie was part of the second-wave feminism movement in the US long before doing the things most women of her era were not doing became commonplace. On the personal side, Marge, as she was affectionately called by those close to her, always tried to make everyone else's life run smoothly, sometimes to a fault, but always with her kind heart and the best interest of her family and friends in mind. She will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She is survived by her sons, Stephen H Samuels, Douglas A Samuels, and Charles A Samuels.

A Graveside Service for Mrs. Samuels will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2014, at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens.
