Marion Theodore (Ted) Walizer, Jr.

Marion Theodore (Ted) Walizer Jr., 69, of Valdosta, died at his residence on Saturday, April 5, 2025. He was born on October 28, 1955, in Hahira, Georgia to the late Marion Sr., and Estelle (Peg) Miller Walizer. Ted was employed with Langboard Incorporated as a scaler since March of 2020 and previously worked for Langdale Forest Products working as a wood preserving supervisor beginning June of 1995. He was of the Christian faith.

He is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Stephanie Walizer of Valdosta and Kristie and Dustin Thomas of Barney; two grandsons, Landon Thomas and Ethan Thomas; the mother of his children, Terry McLane of Valdosta; nephew and his spouse, Shawn and Amanda Dougherty and their children Owen Dougherty and Emmie Dougherty; a niece, Danielle Dougherty and her daughter, Drew Dougherty. He was preceded by two sisters, Infant Suzanne Illene Walizer and Sandra Jo Dougherty.

Services for Ted Walizer will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at the Pavilion at Riverview with Rev. Frank Gupton officiating.
