Mr. Marion L. Taylor, 89, of Ray City passed away at South Georgia Medical Center on Saturday, July 2, 2011. Marion was born on August 10, 1921 in Montrose, West Virginia to the late Clyde E. and Jessie Poling Taylor. He was retired from the U S Air Force after more than 29 years of service and retired from Civil Service after 13 years. Mr. Taylor was a member of the Bemiss United Methodist Church.
Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Hideko Kamiya Taylor of Ray City, daughters and sons-in-law, Diana and Brian Arnold of McDonough, Barbara and Mark White of Orlando, Fl., Cheryl and James McKnight of Kingman, Az., and a son, Marion L. Taylor Jr. of Kingman, Az., Grandchildren, Taylor, Hannah and Jenna Arnold, and Harrison and Kendall White, and Danial and Kreshenka McKnight. He was preceded in death by his brother, Dale Taylor.
Funeral services will be held at the Carson McLane Chapel on Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at 11:00 A.M., with Rev. Lance Kindred officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Memorial Gardens with full Military Honors. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 5, 2011, from 6-8 P.M.at the funeral home.
