Marion Edward (Ed) Hall, 81, of Valdosta Sunday, February 8, 2009 at South Georgia Medical Center after sudden illness. He was born on July 11, 1927 in Vidalia to the late Martin Eugene and Frances Todd Hall and had lived in Doraville for many years before moving to Valdosta eleven years ago. Mr. Hall was a retired wholesale grocery salesman and a member of the Northside Baptist Church where he was ordained as a deacon.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Lillian Smith Hall of Valdosta, two sons and daughters in law, Ken and Robin Hall of Snellville, Steve and Kathy Hall of Augusta, daughter and son in law, Terri and Vance Turner of Winston-Salem, NC., six grandchildren, Greg Hall, Justin Hall, Stephanie Hall Bahner and her husband, Stephen Bahner, Joel Hall, Kristen Hall and Jordan Turner, great grandson, Steven Ray Bahner, one brother and sister in law, Eulis and Sarah Hall of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Tuesday, February 10, 2009 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with his son, Rev. Ken Hall and Rev. Bob Willis officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, Georgia. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
