Marie Wood Eason Bailey

Marie Wood Eason Bailey, 93, died Thursday, April 4, 2013, at 1:30 a.m. at Langdale Hospice House of natural causes. She was born in Quincy, Florida and lived most of her adult life in Lake Park, Georgia. She was a member of the Unity Sabbath Day Church of God.
Marie was preceded in death by her children, Vernon Eason and Ava Nell Monaghan. Survivors include her sister, Ruby Barker of Nashville, Georgia; her children, J.W. Eason, Emily Eason Traficante, Larry Eason of Lake Park, Georgia and Jeni Davis of Orlando, Florida; grandchildren, Gail Mann, Sheri Browder, Victor Eason, Jay Eason, Eric Eason, Julie Lisen, Stephanie Goins, Chad Eason and Garrett Eason; numerous nieces and nephews, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; son in law, Glenn Davis and daughters in law, Mary Ann Eason, Linda Eason and Patsy Hughes.
A celebration of the life of Marie Wood Eason Bailey, will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Park from 4 -6 p.m. with a short service at 5 p.m. The family would prefer live plants that can be planted in a memory garden for Marie. Her favorite plant was roses. A donation to the Langdale Hospice House where she spent her last days would be an alternative.
Marie was forgiving, faithful to God, her family and friends, and a true inspiration to all who met her. She gave each of us unconditional love and was a constant reminder of how we should live our lives. We know that she will be one of God's brightest stars and angels in the next life. We are so glad that God gave us this incredible woman to be our mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
