Marie Louise Siegel

Marie Louise Siegel, 74, of Dasher, was called Home on Tuesday, February 14, 2017. Mrs. Siegel passed away at South Georgia Medical Center surrounded by loved ones. Mrs. Siegel succumbed to a lengthy battle with various health problems.
Born on December 3, 1942, to the late Ira Kirkland and Inez Clark in Nichols, she was a retired certified nursing assistant. Her hobbies included gardening and finding every yard sale she could. She married Joseph Richard Siegel of Dasher in 2010, with whom she spent the last seven years of her life with in bliss, on their front porch watching the flowers bloom. A woman of immense Baptist faith, Mrs. Siegel spread the word of her Savior everywhere she went. She always made a new friend everywhere she went, enjoying striking up a conversation with anyone she could.
She is survived by her husband; sons, Jimmy Tucker (Laura) of Bainbridge and Eddie Tucker (Paula) of Alapaha; daughters, Dana Willis (Todd) of Flower Mound, Texas, Karen Ireland (Todd) of Chula, and Tammy Barela of Tifton; step-son, Daniel Siegel (Nicole) of Olympia, Washington; grandchildren, Jordan Barela, Jake Williams, Erin Willis, Abby Tucker, Mikayla Barela, Mackenzie Willis, Tucker Willis, Patrick Tucker, Meliah Downs, Brighton Siegel, and Lucien Siegel; two brothers, Claude Kirkland and Frank Kirkland; sister, Barbara Clark; and two furry companions, Muffin and Sassy.
Services for Mrs. Siegel will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 17, 2017 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
