Marie E. Gibson

Marie E. Gibson, 83, of Valdosta died Monday, December 15, 2014 at Langdale Hospice House. She was born on August 17, 1931 in Adel, Cook County, GA to the late George Hall and Anna Hackett Hall. Mrs. Gibson was retired from Owens-Illinois and was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, K. V. Gibson of Valdosta, four sons and daughters in law, Wendell and Wanda Cooper, Glenn and Ann Cooper, Wayne and Bonnie Cooper, all of Valdosta, Terry and Kathy Cooper of Hahira, eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Mrs. Gibson is preceded in death by her parents and twelve siblings.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 18, 2014 at eleven a. m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend Dexter Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from six until eight p. m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
